About The MH Group Founder and CEO Nicole Polite
Nicole Polite is the visionary founder of the MH Group, a leading staffing and recruiting firm established in 2013. Under her leadership, the MH Group achieved an impressive 95% retention rate on direct hire placements, thanks to its rigorous vetting process and strong relationship-building strategies. The firm has successfully placed thousands of job seekers with reputable organizations and has collaborated with local colleges and high schools to provide career readiness training.
Nicole Polite also served as a Business Advisor for the University of Hartford, where she facilitated business pivots during the pandemic, provided HR advising, and assisted with PPP and SBA loans. Additionally, she supported individuals who were laid off to start their businesses.
Demonstrating her commitment to community impact, Nicole established the MH Cares Foundation to address the needs of underserved populations and engages in fundraising efforts for local nonprofits. Her dedication to empowerment is further reflected in her for-profit company, Nicole Polite and Co., which is dedicated to helping women set and achieve career goals through mentorship, networking, and empowerment conferences.
Nicole is also the author of Expectations Aligned: Forging Better Paths for Employers and Employees to Meet in the Middle, a book grounded in her 12 years of staffing and recruiting experience. In addition to writing, she regularly contributes to the BusinessWest newspaper, focusing on employment-related topics.
Community involvement is a cornerstone of Nicole’s career. She served on the Town District Steering Committee for 2024/2025 and is a current Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Western Mass and the East of the River Chamber-ERC5. Her past roles include board positions with YWCA of Western Massachusetts, MassHire Hampden County Workforce, Springfield Preservation Trust, Friends of Sabis International Charter School, and other significant community organizations. Nicole’s achievements have earned her numerous awards, including the 2025 100 Women of Color Award, the 2024 Massachusetts State House Excellence on the Hill Award, the 2017 BusinessWest Continued Excellence Award, the 2015 National Urban League Community Builder Award, and the 2014 Business West 40 under 40. She is an alumna of Women’sen’s Fund Leadership Institute for Political and Public Impact and the Babson College-Goldman Sachs 10KSB National Cohort. In addition, Nicole has been honored with proclamations from the City of Springfield, the Massachusetts House of Representatives, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Senate.
